The Only Chinese Speaker in The 2017 FIPP Global Media Conference

Yuri was the only speaker who is representing China among the 90 speakers at the 2017 FIPP World Congress held in London, sharing the current status of the phenomenon-level market of "WeChat and self-media in China" with more than 1,000 elites in journal publishing industry globally. During the speech, she discussed the development trend of the world journal industry and the challenges and opportunities she met in the journal industry. In the speech, Yuri combined her own work experience as a PR person and the development of new-media in China. Taking WeChat as an example, she discussed the enlightenment and reference significance of the integration of new and traditional media to the publishing industry.

FIPP is the abbreviation of Federation Internationale de la Press Periodique, which is an international journal industry organization established in 1925 headquartered in London. Under the condition of the prosperous development of the journal publishing industry in the early 20th century, the world journal industry spontaneously formed a non-political, non-profit international journal industry organization. The International Journal Alliance invited national journal associations and large-scale journal publishing companies as members, with about 40 members of the National Periodicals Association and more than 90 members of large-scale journal publishing companies. The member organization exceed half of the world's journals globally, thus it is the most representative and most influential international industry organization in this industry. China Periodicals Association joined the FIPP in October 2000 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2004. The World Congress hosted by the FIPP, is the most influential journal industry event, holds once every two years. Each session has about 1,000 international journal publishing industry elites to attend, which plays an important role in strengthening global journal industry exchanges and promoting the prosperity of journals in various countries and regions.
