Women in Business - An Inspiring Networking Evening - 7th March 2019 - Linkup China Ltd.

Yuri Au, Managing Director of Linkup China.

As the Founder of the company, I have been committed to grow with my team members. As the company grows, we have established successful partnerships with some of the top universities in London, including Coventry University London Campus. We provide amazing internship opportunities to their MBA students, to allow them to fit in the society quicker and easier, among the applicants majority are female. I have also worked with selected business partners to launch women-focused events to raise gender awareness. On 2019 International Women's Day, we launched "Women in Business - An Inspiring Networking Evening" event in Maddox Gallery, in which over 80 successful women leaders from both UK and China attended, 3 fascinated women gave speeches and this event was so influential that it was covered by a radio show in London.

Linkup China Ltd. is a bridge connecting the Chinese and British companies of two-way communication. We provide opportunities to companies from both countries to communicate and work together better. We predominately focus on Property, Architecture and Interior Design, Fashion and Lifestyle industries, and our focuses are mainly Marketing and PR, including media publicity and offline activities. Throughout the successful two years, it has been shown that Linkup China Ltd.'s business model and our unique approaches to PR has become increasingly mature, it not only shows on our clients' number, but also shows on our financial revenue. I will continuously lead my team to bridge between China and the UK.

As a female entrepreneur myself, I have always fought to share all that I know to my team members and help them grow. In my company, most of the employees are women, including fresh graduates, experienced staffs and house-wives. I launched weekly corporate training classes for free, so that they can absorb and learn anything that are of interest to them, including PR strategy, Marketing skill set, Sales techniques, etc, which I believe are beneficial to their own career progression. The company culture encourages everybody to raise their voice loudly no matter what their positions are or how silly the ideas may sound, my job is to ensure all the voices are heard. Apart from launching evening networking events for our clients, I always encourage my team members to leave the office sharp at 6 pm, do not work long hours/ do not work over time. I also encourage flexible working hours as long as you can finish the KPI, you can come to work at 9:30 am and leave at 3:30 pm to pick up your kids, hence, experienced working moms are highly welcome here.

Best,

Yuri
