What Are The Different Communication Methods Between UK and China During Lockdown?

Hi everyone, hope you are having a wonderful day today, welcome back to my channel!

I’m Yuri O, as in ‘Oh my gosh, when will this pandemic be over!?’

Here’s hoping that everybody out there is staying safe and healthy and that this will be a distant memory soon enough.

Topic for Today: What Are The Different Communication Methods Between UK and China During Lockdown?

Certainly, it has been a crazy and tough time for many people all over the world, but one of the things that has been very interesting, and… well… cool(!) is how communication has been affected here in the UK, what with the lockdown and limited access to loved ones. Can anyone say ‘Zooom’!?

However, has the way that people communicate been affected over in China in such a profound way? Well, not exactly.

The key difference, perhaps, is that as China is such a huge country it was already difficult to visit relatives before the coronavirus started. The lengthy train rides, the insanely crowded stations, mmmmmmmm… not everyone’s cup of tea!

In China, long before people were covered in face masks, squirting hand sanitiser all over the place, and having their temperature checked more than a new-born baby, video calls, instant messaging and other means of sharing have been far more the norm than face-to-face meet ups. Part of this is due to the fact that many Chinese people travel great distances for work meaning they are far away from their families, therefore their only means of contacting them is via video call.

What I would love to hear from you, is How have you been staying connected with your family and friends?

Go ahead and put that in the comment section and we are all going to learn a lot from reading those, I appreciate you, if you haven't subscribed yet, take a moment, click the subscribe button, because this channel is all about China, genuine insights from me and my team, who have all spent time living in both UK and China.

Take care my friends, have a wonderful day today, and I will see you soon.
